WWW
Well, I've made a start - my new work in progress website is now available for you to ooh and aah at.
On a related note, while a few years back WWW was used to distinguish which sites actually used HTTP as opposed to other protocols, it's really no longer necessary - and yet people still insist on using it. While not that bad in itself, things are made worse, in my opinion, by failing to provide a URL which doesn't have the www bit on the front.
As for people abusing the alt paramater for the A tag - blame Microsoft for not adhering to standards and allowing them to get away with it. The alt parameter is for alternate text, whereas title is the parameter which should be used for the "tooltip" effect.
Crazy as a barrel of monkeys.
