Musical desks

In the beginning there were The Few, and all was good. After the few, there were the many. And when the many came, there were new job titles, and desks were moved about, but on the whole, it was good. But after a while, the Customer requested to be able to speak to the many, rather than just the few. The few who worshipped the customer made changes which affected the many, to accomodate the Customer. The many moved desks around, changed job titles, had mentoring schemes set up to supplement training, and took on extra roles to accomodate the wishes of the few.

It now remains to be seen as to whether any of this will turn out OK; I guess however at least the willingness to implement change is a good sign, and for the most part it seems like it will be a good thing on the whole. My main concern is that most of the time the customer doesn't know what they want, so making changes based on feedback from custonmers may not always be the best thing, and not being consulted regarding the issue does rankle somewhat.
