SACD - The Future!

I've finally got a couple of SACD discs to play in my new player. Listening to Pink Floyds' Dark Side of the Moon and Derek and the Dominoes' Layla with such clarity and in multichannel 3/2.1 is truly awesome - it is the way forward.
A few years back at the Hi-Fi show in Bristol, I attended a demo in which they played some music off a DVD-Audio disc and then from an SACD disc. While the content played wasn't the same, it was blindingly clear that SACD is the superior format. Long live SACD!!

A real cutie!

I spent Sunday over at my friends house, and it was the first time that I'd seen his new daughter Daisy - I say new, but she's about 2 months old already - but she is very cute :)

Thingies

The 21st December will only have 9 hours and 35 minutes of daylight. At least this year I'll be able to enjoy that daylight seeing as I won't be at work. And then the days will start getting longer again!

This year I haven't heard any new cheesy Christmas songs. I guess the music industry just couldn't be bothered.

I am growing sideburns. It will be a new trend. Oh, and for amusement, check out the National Beard Registry. It's great fun deciding whether people look like murderers or terrorists. There's something inherantly dodgy about having a beard, more so if you're female I suppose.

Bath city council have decided in their infinate wisdom, that the time leading up to Christmas is an ideal time for roadworks. I guess they really don't want to accomodate visitors to Bath during the Christmas period. Maybe the older they get, the more stupid they become - I guess the Bath Spa project is a case in point.

I'm still playing Ghostmaster - it's great to relax to and is quite funny with it's spoofs of various films.
