Time

This week, I am not at work; I'm taking a theoretical holiday - if by which merely not going to work can be classed as a holiday! At least I've already done something useful - I've been into the bank and got some details updated and now I have some insurance stuff which apparently I should have already had but didn't. I like local banks; I've used online services previously for financial services, but it's very nice to be able to go and discuss things with someone rather than with a non-entity over the phone.

On another "Time" related note, I'm wondering if my youngest brother has the P.U.L.S.E. album (by Pink Floyd). Now that I've remembered, I htink I'll call Dad and ask him...

  • I hate High Street Banks. They suck the poverbial goats dangly bits. I'm with smile (and confusingly separately, the co-op for an Oxfam credit card and my mortgage) and they super-rock. Whether via secure messages or over the 'phone, they're 100% polite and nice. In fact, I'd be tempted to go to 150%!

Compared with the way I've been treated by Lloyds and Barclays... man they are rubbish.

For insurance I use CIS who are over in QSH along with Chest. They're not as nice the Co-op bank (who they've now merged with) but they're trying.
